September GSR Report

The most recent district meeting was held on September 1st, 2026 at 7:30 pm, hybrid.

Some of the items discussed at the last District meeting were:

1. That District 08 add the Accessibilities Committee to the District 08 Reimbursement Policy.

The following events might be of interest

1. The National AA Technology Workshop 2026 – September 11-13, 2026 – Hybrid
2. Election Assembly – November 14, 2026 – Hybrid

We need to take a group conscience on:

1. That Area 06 provides professional sign language interpretation at Area Assemblies (and Area Committee Meetings) as a reasonable accommodation for effective communication, when requested by a Deaf or Hard of Hearing A.A. member with at least two weeks’ advance notice.

The following actions have been taken in the district:

1. District 08 pay for 2 scholarships to the NAATW, Sept. 11-13th 2026.

Additional notes and information

• The GSO app is now live in Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
• We are always looking for Sub-District Committee members, please join us at a monthly District meeting to make yourself available or send us an email. Currently open are 003, 008, 009, 010.
• Please make sure you have the Area postal address updated, it is now 1390 N McDowell Blvd, Suite G-339, Petaluma, CA 94954.

Everyone is welcome to attend any district or Area Assembly meeting. Even though visitors don’t have a vote, they do have a voice. Please join us next month!

The next District meeting will be held on October 6th 2026, at 7:30 pm, virtually and in person.

The next Area Committee Meeting is online and in-person on September 26, 2026, at 12:30pm.
