December GSR Report

The most recent district meeting was held on December 2nd, 2025 at 7:30 pm, hybrid.

Some of the items discussed at the last District meeting were:

1. Our Area Delegate presented on PRASA – “Get Ready for PRASSA!”
2. Reviewed the 2026 Financial Projections
3. Next steps / recap of the District Inventory
4. PRASSA – Drawing at the January District meeting for a scholarship to PRASA 2026 (GSR,DCM and Alts)
5. Call for candidates for the District 08 Archives Chair, what is involved in the position

The following events might be of interest

1. Area 06 Pre-Conference Assembly 2026 – Save the Date April 11 & 12, 2026 – In person and Online
2. Special Online Forum for Deaf Alcoholics Anonymous Members – Saturday January 17, 2026 at 9:00am PDT

We need to take a group conscience on:

1. Review the 2026 Financial Projections
2. Call for candidates for the District 08 Archives Chair position

The following actions have been taken in the district:

1. Housekeeping Motion: “That District 08 gives support to the upcoming East Bay Writing Workshop [estimated to be in January 2026] by (1) encouraging district members to volunteer for planning the event; (2) financial support not to exceed $200”. Presented by DCMC and District Literature Chair. No objections. Motion passes.

Additional notes and information

• The GSO app is now live in Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
• We have a vacancy for the District 08 Archives Chair if available please attend the next business meeting for more details.
• We are always looking for Sub-District Committee members, please join us at a monthly District meeting to make yourself available or send us an email. Currently open are 003, 004, 007, 008, 010.
• Please make sure you have the Area postal address updated, it is now 1390 N McDowell Blvd, Suite G-339, Petaluma, CA 94954.

Everyone is welcome to attend any district or Area Assembly meeting. Even though visitors don’t have a vote, they do have a voice. Please join us next month!

The next District meeting will be held on January 6th, 2026, at 7:30 pm, virtually and in person.

The next Area Committee Meeting is online and in-person on December 20, 2025, at 11:00 am.
