August GSR Report

The most recent district meeting was held on August 5th, 2025 at 7:30 pm, hybrid.

Some of the items discussed at the last District meeting were:

1. Why do a group inventory at the district?
2. Possible increase of rent for monthly District meeting due to room usage per the Church facility coordinator.
3. District 08 will form an ad-hoc committee to submit a bid to host a 2026 Assembly

The following events might be of interest

1. AA Technology Workshop – Hosted by District 20, Oct. 18th – Richmond, CA
2. Fall Assembly (Area 06 Inventory), Nov. 1 – Napa, CA

We need to take a group conscience on:

1. Motion brought forward by the Accessibilities Committee purchase a reflective sign to be placed at the foot of the driveway to provide visual accessibility to the District meeting, at a cost not to exceed $300.00.

The following actions have been taken in the district:

1. None this month.

Additional notes and information

• H&I is in a neutral financial position. They are asking that groups send in Pink Can donations to help.
• The GSO app is now live in Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
• We have a vacancy for the District 08 Archives Chair if available please attend the next business meeting for more details.
• We are always looking for Sub-District Committee members, please join us at a monthly District meeting to make yourself available or send us an email. Currently open are 003, 004, 007, 008, 010.
• Please make sure you have the Area postal address updated, it is now 1390 N McDowell Blvd, Suite G-339, Petaluma, CA 94954.

Everyone is welcome to attend any district or Area Assembly meeting. Even though visitors don’t have a vote, they do have a voice. Please join us next month!

The next District meeting will be held on September 2nd, 2025, at 7:30 pm, virtually and in person.

The next Area Committee Meeting is online and in-person on September 27, 2025, at 11:00 am.
