The most recent district meeting was held on May 6th, 2025 at 7:30 pm, hybrid.
Some of the items discussed at the last District meeting were:
- What happens at the General Service Conference? Presented by the visiting Area Officer.
- Preview for the upcoming Area Assembly (post-conference assembly)
- Discussion on Area business (see District 08 Newsletter for full wording):
- Add inventory question to page 30 of the pamphlet “The A.A. Group”.
- That CNCA 06 create a Subcommittee on Safety and Inclusion
- That CNCA 06 request A.A. produce a public information service piece with a simple and consistent message.
- Proposed changes to GSO GSR registration to enhance member safety.

We need to take a group conscience on:
- Area business items (see District 08 Newsletter and bullets at the top of the post).
- Proposed changes to GSO GSR registration to enhance member safety (will be on the agenda as old business for next month).

Additional notes and information
- H&I is in a neutral financial position. They are asking that groups send in Pink Can donations to help.
- The GSO app is now live in Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
- We are always looking for Sub-District Committee members, please join us at a monthly District meeting to make yourself available or send us an email. Currently open are 003, 004, 007, 008, 010.
- Please make sure you have the Area postal address updated, it is now 1390 N McDowell Blvd, Suite G-339, Petaluma, CA 94954.
Everyone is welcome to attend any district or Area Assembly meeting. Even though visitors don’t have a vote, they do have a voice. Please join us next month!
